Forgeleaf is an independent platform sharing articles, tutorials, and open-source tools related to game development.


Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from uploaded images.


Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Analytics (Umami Analytics)

We use a self-hosted instance of Umami Analytics to collect anonymous statistics about how visitors use our website.

Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. The data collected helps us understand website usage (such as page views, referrers, and device types) without tracking individual visitors.

All analytics data is stored on our own private server within the European Union. No third parties have access to this information.


Newsletter (Loops.so)

We use Loops.so to manage and send our newsletter and email updates.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address solely for the purpose of sending you occasional updates, tutorials, and project news. Your email data is stored securely by Loops.so and is never shared with other parties.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link provided in each email.

reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA (v3) to protect our contact forms from spam and abuse. This service may collect information such as your IP address and other data required for security purposes, in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.).
Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other website.
